By creating an account on Devs.Nepal you agree to these terms. The platform is operated by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), Government of Nepal. Read alongside our privacy policy.
1. Who can use the platform
You must be at least 16 years old and a Nepali citizen with valid government identification. Organisational accounts must be authorised representatives. Bots are prohibited unless council-approved.
2. Verification
You agree that the identity documents you upload are genuine and belong to you. Fraudulent documents are grounds for immediate permanent removal and may be referred to Nepal Police.
3. Content you post
- You keep ownership. You grant the Government of Nepal a royalty-free licence to display it on the platform and use it for non-commercial public communication.
- You confirm you have the right to publish — no unlicensed copying, no leaked proprietary information.
- Code on git.pmdevcore.gov.np follows each repo's LICENSE file. If absent, treated as 'all rights reserved' pending ministry decision.
4. Community standards
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or sexual content.
- No spam, off-topic promotion, or affiliate marketing.
- No malware, illegal content, or platform compromise attempts.
- No impersonation of people, ministries, or government.
- Respect bilingual norms — both English and Nepali are first-class.
5. Project claims and contributions
- Claiming a project is a good-faith commitment to complete it. Repeatedly abandoning claims is grounds for removal.
- A consent record is captured when you submit a claim — including engagement type (volunteer or paid) and consent version. Retained as an immutable audit trail.
- Compensation is between claimant and ministry. The platform does not handle payments.
6. Removal and appeals
The council can remove content or accounts that violate these terms. We'll explain why, and you can appeal in writing to it.steeringcommittee@opmcm.gov.np within 30 days.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the platform online but make no specific uptime guarantee.
8. Disclaimer
Platform provided 'as is'. The Government of Nepal is not liable for losses arising from reliance on user-posted content.
9. Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kathmandu.
